If you are moving in certain areas it will be required that you obtain a parking permit in advance. This is important so your drivers have a place to put the truck, or you may have a place for your rental truck. If you do not obtain a permit you risk getting a citation or towed. To make it easier on our customers we put together some simple steps on how to obtain a parking permit. This permit is only to be used for commercial vehicles only. Customers may be responsible for citations if the proper parking permits are not obtained in advance.
For areas where SmartMeters are installed:
The City of Portlands parking enforcement division will reserve the permitted parking space(s) with a space reservation device. The devices used to reserve the parking space will vary depending on location conditions. When you set this up they will usually give you a certain time frame you are able to park in these spaces.
